“Aleh Team” – Real name Oleg Tkachenko (Ukraine). DJ/Producer, the basic style of Techno. Interests in music at age 14.
It tracks and mixes you can hear a special energy. The third mix, which it was written, sounded on the radio. Then, for a short time, his guest mix played on many radio stations. Also, he is the guest of famous radio show, including, and in “R-Tem” (Russia). The first release came out in 18 years. Each of his new tracks is different from one another. This style of production can transfer music taste is much more interesting, not succumbing to their own templates and style. This music will always find its diverse audience.
His tracks were heard in many programs, including on the radio “Kiss FM”. In 2009 he became a resident of “Real FM” (St. Petersburg), where started his own radio show “Black Sound”. Hi also participating in the “JAMS Booking Agency” (Kiev). At the moment is the chief-editor of “Geometry” in your city. Aleh Team works with top-end DJs, Ukraine and Russia to create tracks and remixes. Substantiate their own project in 2007, “Soft remix Project”, which is being promoted in the music industry.

The German lesson
The German lesson (original title: Deutschstunde) is a novel by the German writer Siegfried Lenz, published in 1968 in Germany. English edition The German lesson was published in 1986 by New Directions Publishing, New York City. Deutschstunde was translated in several languages.
During Nazi Germany, a pupil (Siggi Jepsen, the first-person narrator) is forced to write an article themed The joys of duty. The pupil’s father is the “most northerly police officer in Germany” does his duty, even as his task is to debar an old childhood friend, the painter Nansen from his profession. Siggi feels compelled with Nansen’s paintings, “the green faces, the Mongol eyes, these deformed bodies … “, so he steals them. Siggi is taken to a juvenile detention center. After 1945 Jensen is interned for a short time and later reinstalled into his position.[1]

Deutschstunde
Der Roman Deutschstunde von Siegfried Lenz erschien 1968. Lenz bringt in diesem Werk das zentrale Thema der deutschen Nachkriegsliteratur auf den Punkt: Die Verquickung von Schuld und Pflicht in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus. Die oft gehörte Entschuldigung, man habe ja nur „seine Pflicht getan“, wird hier kritisch durchleuchtet.
Formal ist der Roman durch zwei verschiedene Zeitebenen strukturiert: Die erste Ebene ist die Gegenwart des Ich-Erzählers Siggi Jepsen, der sich in einer Anstalt für schwer erziehbare Jugendliche befindet; die zweite Ebene ist Siggis „Aufsatz“, in dem er in Rückblenden seine Geschichte erzählt. Hinzu kommen außerdem gelegentliche Perspektivewechsel durch psy-chologische Studien über Siggi, die von ihm gelesen und skeptisch kommentiert werden.
Siggi Jepsen, Insasse einer Anstalt für schwer erziehbare Jugendliche, bekommt in einer Deutschstunde das Aufsatzthema „Die Freuden der Pflicht“ gestellt und scheitert daran: Er gibt ein leeres Heft ab. Der Grund für sein Scheitern liegt jedoch darin, dass er zu diesem Thema zuviel zu sagen hat – im Arrest, der von ihm freiwillig immer weiter verlängert wird, schreibt Siggi nun über seine Kindheit und Jugend, die gerade unter dem Zeichen der „Pflicht“ stand. Siggi Jepsens Vater war nämlich der „nördlichste Polizeiposten Deutsch-lands“ in dem schleswig-holsteinischen Dorf Rugbüll. Jens Ole Jepsen erhält 1943 von der nationalsozialistischen Obrigkeit den Auftrag, gegen den expressionistischen Maler Max Ludwig Nansen (für diese Romanfigur diente Emil Nolde als Vorbild) ein Malverbot auszu-sprechen und dieses Verbot zu überwachen. Obwohl Jepsen seit seiner Jugend mit Nansen befreundet ist und dieser ihm sogar einmal das Leben gerettet hat, kommen ihm keinerlei Zweifel an seiner Pflicht, diese Anordnungen rigoros zu befolgen. Als er seinen zu dieser Zeit zehnjährigen Sohn Siggi dazu anstiften will, den Maler zu bespitzeln, bringt er ihn damit in einen Gewissenskonflikt, denn Nansens Atelier ist für Siggi wie ein zweites Zuhause. Er be-schließt, seinem Vater nicht zu gehorchen, und hilft stattdessen Nansen beim Verstecken von Bildern.
Siggis Vater ist von fanatischer Pflichterfüllung angetrieben, weniger von der nationalsozia-listischen Ideologie, im Unterschied zu seiner Frau, die, wie gelegentlich zum Ausdruck kommt, vollkommen vom Nationalsozialismus überzeugt ist. Als Siggis Bruder Klaas sich selbst verstümmelt, um nicht weiter Kriegsdienst leisten zu müssen, wird er von seinen Eltern verstoßen – nur mit Glück und der Hilfe von Nansen kann er den Krieg überleben.
Selbst nach Kriegsende kommen Jepsen keine Zweifel, im Gegenteil, er beharrt auf der Über-zeugung, dass es weiterhin seine Pflicht sei, Nansens Bilder zu vernichten. Hierbei kommen ihm gelegentliche Anflüge des „zweiten Gesichts“ zuhilfe – dadurch kann er das Versteck in der alten Mühle, in der Siggi einige von Nansens Bildern aufbewahrte, entdecken und in Brand setzen. Siggi steigert sich nun in einen Wahn hinein, Nansens Bilder vor seinem Vater „retten“ zu müssen. Er wird so zum Kunstdieb, was schließlich zu seiner Verhaftung und der Einlieferung in die Besserungsanstalt führt.
Im Zentrum der Personenkonstellation steht der Ich-Erzähler Siggi Jepsen. Im Wesentlichen bilden sich um ihn herum zwei Parteien aus. Zum Einen die Mitglieder der Familie Jepsen, vor allem sein Vater Jens Ole Jepsen, seine Mutter Gudrun Jepsen, sein Bruder Klaas und seine Schwester Hilke. Die andere Partei bildet der Maler Max Ludwig Nansen sowie dessen Familie.
Siggi Jepsen Von ihm wird durch seine Eltern strenger willensloser Gehorsam gefordert, die-sem kann er aber aus seinem eigenen Wesen heraus nicht nachkommen. Deswegen kommt es dazu, dass seine Eltern Ole und Gudrun Jepsen psychischen sowie physischen Druck auf ihn ausüben, um dies zu erreichen. Im Laufe der Erzählung wird deutlich, dass er sich zu dem Maler Max Ludwig Nansen wesentlich mehr hingezogen fühlt als zu seinen Eltern. Dort er-fährt er Liebe und Geborgenheit. Nach Ende des Krieges bildet er einen so genannten „Tick“ aus, laut den Psychologen im Buch, eine gerichtete Obsession und halluzinatorische Abwehr-reaktion. Außerdem hat er höllische Angst vor seinem Vater. Letztendlich wird er von seinen Eltern verstoßen und findet einzig allein Zuwendung bei dem Maler und seiner älteren Schwester Hilke.
Peter Beauvais verarbeitete den Roman-Stoff 1971 zu einem zweiteiligen Fernsehfilm namens Die Deutschstunde.

Silinder is Dublin born Gavin Mulhall. Born back in 2002 from a love of dark and electronic sounds. You won’t have to listen too hard to hear Silinder’s diverse range of musical influences in his music,which ranges from, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure and Depeche Mode, to, Infusion, Evil Nine and King Unique. The first Silinder tracks to be produced were “The Light Gets In”, “Junkfool” and “Shadowplay”,and it wasn’t long untill these were picked up by Irish label “Fudge Recordings” and were made available on the various digital download sites. These debut tracks showcased Silinder’s dark side of progressive house and breakbeat. Moving forward to 2005, a young dj by the name of James Zabiela picked up the Silinder remixes of New Order’s “Blue Monday and his own track “Robophobia”, and decided that they were good enough to spin on his travels around the globe. The Silinder remix of “Robophobia” was also featured on the september issue of Dj Mag cover cd which was mixed by Meat Katie and James himself and released on Dj Download by Renaissance. Now in 2007,Silinder has releases on numerous labels including Renaissance and Kriece’s own Kindred Label Group and in 2008 has signed music to Irish based label Amalgam Audio and Manchester’s Segment Records. Moving into 2009 and Silinder has now got numerous releases and remixes on various labels worldwide, Stripped, Bellarine,Segment & Dyami and is getting major support from the most sought after dj’s around the world, namely Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha & Digweed. Also in 2009 he has collaborated with fellow Dublin producers Boshell & Cody as Coherent and have got their productions signed to Proton Music. Now in 2010, Silinder continues to push his music forward and has just finished a remix for Cattaneo’s Sudbeat label due for release end of February and a remix of Spooky’s Little Bullet due out mid year on SpookyUK…

A big hello from this non-heated and rowdy flat near Queens Rd. Peckham, on this non-stop rainy London day. So, the Berlin Mitte Institut für Bessere Elektronische Musik (the Berlin Mitte Institute) got together with Florian Meindl for a four hour long WebTV show to produce a track. We got together with the host Jan Kühn aka Fresh Meat and asked him about this interesting project.

Tell us a little bit more about the project, how did you got to team up with Florian Meindl for this project?

The Berlin Mitte Institut seeks to produce radio and WebTV shows that touches upon new things. The radio landscape in the techno scene mainly focuses on dj mixes, or inviting big names to your radio show. In the end, everybody does the same: One more radio show or dj mix to listen to and download. But we want to take the new democratising technologies a bit further and produce content, which has not been done before and also of special cultural value. You can see this on our shows. We broadcast live track productions, as well as focusing on topics that are normally not covered by the usual techno press. We also produce shows explaining the correlations of booking agencies and the techno scene, along with shows that pin points the relationship between the techno scene and its distributors.

Our next show will be a live broadcast from a Berlin club featuring 8 live interviews, which will be put together as a Youtube Doku playlist. We will interview people from professions go more unnoticed (waiters, technicians, runners, bouncer, night manager etc.), yet are vital to the the club functioning as a whole. We always try to connect the promotion of our guests through our channels with the connection to interesting topics that under the surface concern the techno scene.

There is an infinite way in music, which brings certain satisfaction by it’s each stage. As a producer did his first releases on SK Supreme Records, and got a pos8 on djdownload techno chart on his very first release ever. As a dj the performance he puts out speaks for itself, at anytime on anyplace this guy can turn any club or place upside down with a body comunication and constant enteraction with the public. Telharmonium

“Telharmonium” was the strange-sounding name given to one of the earliest electrical musical instruments by its inventor, whose Thaddeus Cahill. The Iowa-born Cahill was a lawyer and sometime inventor, born in 1867. As a youth he enjoyed experimenting with telephones and other gadgets.

By the 1890s, Cahill was fascinated by the prospect of creating a new kind of musical instrument, one that would surpass what he saw as the limitations of all existing types, such as the limited range of notes they could play. In the early 1890s he developed the idea of using small alternating-current generators to generate electric waves at various frequencies. These would be controlled by a keyboard and heard through a telephone receiver. The final design, patented in 1897, had twelve separate generators, which produced the twelve basic tones of the musical scale. Each of these generators (called dynamos in those days) consisted of a motor-driven shaft, packed with a series of “rheotomes” or notched discs. The discs interacted with wire “field” coils to generate an alternating current (by the process of induction). The number of notches in the disc determined the frequency of the current. By operating each dynamo at a precise speed, each disc would produce a current that could be heard as a sound in a telephone receiver. The different tones could be switched on and off in any combination through a piano-like keyboard.

By 1901, Cahill had constructed a working model, and he began seeking financial backing to create a finished machine. With it, he said, he would provide musical concerts that would be delivered over telephone wires to restaurants, bar rooms, or people’s homes. The final model, which employed 145 separate electric generators, was completed in 1906. Weighing in at 200 tons, the giant instrument was 60 feet long, had multiple keyboards and controls, and required at least two players. Cahill made two more Telharmoniums, finishing the last of them in 1911. The last Telharmonium, an even larger system, was installed in a special performance room in New York City from which Cahill and his investors planned to offer Telharmonium music concerts to hotels in the area for a fee. Unfortunately, the instrument interfered with telephone service in the area, aggravating local residents. It was played periodically through about the time of World War I, when it was finally dismantled. No recordings of Telharmonium music are known to exist, and no Telharmonium survived after about 1920. from Telharmonium -- GHN

Koop is an electronic jazz duo from Sweden, consisting of Magnus Zingmark and Oscar Simonsson.
Koop won a Swedish Grammy Award in 2003, and received a Gold certification for sales of their most recent album, Koop Islands. Their acclaimed, orchestrated sound is achieved by slowly putting together thousands of small clips from records until the songs are ready, which helps explain the long time it takes to make a Koop album. Vocals have been provided by singers such as Cecilia Stalin, Ane Brun, Yukimi Nagano, Hilde Louise Asbjornsen, Rob Gallagher and Mikael Sundin.

The band shot to prominence when the song ‘Strange Love’ from the album ‘Waltz for Koop’ was featured in a commercial for Coca Cola.

The first time I saw The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, I knew it to be the greatest rock film of all time. For those of you who have not yet seen it, stop reading this and go out and rent it or buy it. But if you need more than just my word, at least check out clips of it here on youtube. If nothing else, you’ll get a chance to see what inspired my video. I wish I had been there to see the acts like the Stones, The Who, Taj Mahal, and John Lennon with The Dirty Mac. But what would have been even more incredible than just being there would have been to perform there. But alas, I was not even born yet in 1968. So the best I could do was to create some puppets and a small scale version of the set in my garage. This is the first song of a three song set that I’ll be performing on that little stage. They’ll get posted here on youtube as I finish them. Be sure to watch until the very end so that you don’t miss the animation after the credits.

Okay people, I’m back from Saint Maarten after a short one week trip. I’ve learned to slow down my life and make my daily life to be more of a harmonic pattern rather than random.

Before, I left for Saint Maarten about 20 DJs submitted their LIVE sets to me for first podcast for year 2010. I’ve not listened all 20 LIVE sets but I’ve randomly picked 5 LIVE sets and I’ve made my selection for the podcast.

I’ve listend to DJ SyriuS ENIGMA mix about 30 times and I was hooked with his mix and it’s loaded with fantastic tracks. You can be the judge of it and please provide your feedback in the comment section. ENJOY!

Peter Bradley Adams, co-founder of eastmountainsouth, was originally signed by one of his idols, Robbie Robertson. A gifted musician, Adams has a Masters in composition, and before venturing into songwriting and performing he had a thriving career in film and TV scoring.

After a hugely successful debut with eastmountainsouth, Adams self-produced and released Gather Up in 2006. Now, Adams builds upon the sophisticated acoustic rock of Gather Up with the cinematic and ethereal sound of Leavetaking.

“The word ‘leavetaking’ resonates with me and these songs on a couple of levels – on one hand there’s the call to wander and the choice one makes to search and to live in that motion; and on the other hand the price of that choice, and the feeling of loss that accompanies it. And it’s a theme you hear in so many traditional songs… some of them traveling songs, or gospel songs, or love songs… they’ve got that old longing in them that I’m really drawn to.”
