Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival – Old American Can Factory – Time Out New York

When it comes to electronic dance-music, one would be hard-pressed to make the argument that Brooklyn is on a par with, say, Detroit or Berlin. But if Brooklyn wasn’t part of NYC, and was instead was an independent municipality (which was actually the case until 1898), it would be the country’s fifth-largest city. In an era where Boulder, Colorado, can have an electronic-music festival—that burg’s Communikey get-together is a damn fine one, by the way—surely the county of Kings should host its own fest.

Röyksopp is a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø, composed of Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge.
The group formed officially in 1998 and released their debut album Melody A.M. on Wall of Sound in 2001.  We highly recommend you to listen to the Melody AM album at your local music store.  You won’t regret it.
